Hey! My name’s Kamaria in my free time I like to run, listen to music, cook and educate myself about social issues. I’m very into the sciences especially the realm of Environmental Science. I joined Journalism to learn some organization skills as well as how to meet deadlines; both practical life skills necessary for success in college. But over my first year, I fell in love with writing about social issues mostly about LGBT and black issues and designing infographics to draw readers in. I’m now three years into my journalism career as the lead beats editor and am loving almost every minute of it. I’ve found that it's increased my social skills and communication abilities. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit again to read some more about social issues from the perspective of a disgruntled biracial 17-year-old.

A few forms include: Major Depression, Persistent Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Psychotic Depression, Peripartum (Postpartum) Depression, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Situational Depression, and Atypical Depression. Other mental health issues can be paired with depression. Although a recent federal task force recommended screening for depression in young people 12 to 18 years of age, screening is far from universal, said Dr. Mark Olfson CNN.

The fear of clowns is called coulrophobia. This phobia affects around 12 percent of adults in the United States. This fear is caused by not knowing the person’s true identity, much like the discomfort some masks give people.

Pi was placed all around the museum for visitors to discover, including this Pi sail for a fan-powered toy. Behind the Pi sail is Caroline Murphree of Texas, and her daughter Rebecca, 6. ''We are both math people and we think Pi is pretty cool,'' Murphree said about her and her husband, who visited the children's museum while traveling. By 2050 the world will have almost 400 million people aged 80 years or older. This generation has had the highest number of middle aged adults with living parents. If you type 60 words per hour, and type eight hours a day it would take about 50 years to type up the human genome.

The homecoming court has its origins in the 1930s. In 1926 Ohio State University named a cow as their homecoming queen. Traditions for homecoming are as crazy as kidnapping another schools homecoming court to something as simple as a parade.
