The softball team had their first meeting. They were able to discuss the upcoming season in the spring, and what they would be doing to prepare for it during the winter season.

One of the points covered in the meeting was that weight lifting would be moved form the morning to the afternoon. This came as a relief to players.

“I did not hate the morning weight lifting practices last year, but I am happy that that we will not be doing them this year, because they cut in to the limited amount of sleep we already get,” sophomore Hannah Young said.

The weight lifting conditioning starts on Dec. 2 and is on every Tues. and Thurs., excluding winter break.

Tryouts will begin on Feb. 23 and go to Feb. 27. This will be considered the first day of practice. The first four days of tryouts will also include weight lifting.

“I am so excited that softball season is starting up again, it is my favorite season. I love the people on my team and can not wait for another great season,” sophomore Elizabeth Izworski said.
