Upcoming senior events

Financial Aid/FAFSA Night: October 10

The Sycamore High School Counseling department will be providing valuable information to navigate the financial aid process. Questions about state programs, federal grants and loans, and scholarships will be answered. The event is at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium.

Paint the Parking Lot 2016: October 14-15

Several students will be given the opportunity to showcase their individual style and personality. They will be paying tribute to their favorite artist, song, or sports team, or designing a space that is close to their heart.

Senior College Visit Day: October 19

While college and career readiness testing will be going on for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, seniors will be able to participate in a day of college and career planning.

Instead of going to school, they are encouraged to do one of the following: a college visit, to shadow someone in an area of career interest, meet with a military recruiter or finish college applications/essays.

This is an opportunity to think about and plan for what is next.

Senior Halloween and Parade: October 28

This will be the traditional “senior dress-up day.” This will be a normal academic day for all students; however, during 7th bell, all seniors will report to the gym for the Halloween costume parade and contest.

The parade will start at about 1:40 p.m.  A pizza party lunch is planned for seniors on this day.

Please note that clown costumes are NOT permitted to be worn this year due to the recent events.

Senior Portraits: due November 1

These may be sent as a hard copy in an envelope addressed to The Log and turned in at the front desk or sent to The Log, 7400 Cornell Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.

The size of the photo does not matter as The Log yearbook staff will adjust the size and resolution to meet specifications.

Vertical photos preferably in color with a blue or gray background are requested. Photos should not have any inappropriate language or images and should not hide facial features.

If anyone wants the photos to be returned, please attach a return address label to the back of the photo. Photos will be returned by May 1, 2017.
