The girls are finishing up their season with only one competition left. In total, they have spent months, days, and hours preparing and fixing their show for this performance.

“I am pretty bummed that the marching band season is ending, since I have devoted a lot of time to color guard and since I love spending time with the marching band.

“I have gained a lot of time management skills and I have learned what it feels like to really be a part of a team,” said Abby Motley, 9.

The students have worked on dance, flag work, and performance skills all to be showcased in their season’s conclusion.

“I am totally excited for championships. But I’m sad to know that most of the people in color guard, I won’t see for the rest of the year. I just hope we can end the season with a big bang and a fun time at Disney,” said Katherine Shi, 9.

Championships will be held at Mason High School; however after that performance, the students will present on their home field for friends and families all for a good cause.

Strike Up the Band for Hunger is a great way to get involved with the band. For just two canned food items, the band will perform their show Vortex for the last time.
