The Sycamore Aviators Varsity Hockey Team celebrated their long-awaited and well-deserved senior night. There are a total of ten seniors on the hockey team. They play most of their games at Sports Plus in Evendale. “Being a senior [for senior night] was a lot of fun and [I enjoyed] beating Mason on senior night,” said senior Adam Mather. The game ended in a win for the Aviators making it a senior night to remember.

In response to the tragic events of the past year, 2019 will be bringing new arm legislation in several U.S states such as California, Oregon, Illinois, and Washington. “I think that we need [to regulate] who is allowed to be in the possession of a firearm… that would be an ideal law,” said Kasey Lowe, 9.

Meditation is an activity that can help students reduce stress. Students who participate in the Mindfulness and Meditation counseling group practice meditate each meeting, which helps them take a break from a stressful day. “The more unique thing about the Mindfulness and Meditation group is that it’s just the practice of actually learning how to do [meditation],” said counseling center intern Zach Myers, who led the group during first semester.
