WE WILL ROCK YOU. The Variety Show, aside from showing off some of SHS’ many talents, is also a veritable fundraiser for the choral program. Aves choir students prepped a Queen Medley for the event’s introduction. “Combining all of the choirs was a blast and I loved all of the songs,” said Anna Enriquez, 10.

PITCH PERFECT. Senior, Isabelle Augustin, plays her flute solo at the center of the field. Typically a mellophone player in marching band, Augustin switches to her concert band instrument for a extra special moment in the “Vortex.” The “Vortex” will be Augustin’s last show in the marching band as she is a graduating senior.

SHEDDING LIGHT. Staffers and editors alike not only put together pages, but must make sure the pages highlight the most proximal, timely, and prominent stories. In-depth stories and interviews alike require hard work, discipline and a certain drive staffers learn to have. “As an editor and even as just a staff writer, this class is an extracurricular activity in itself. We spend long days and nights outside of school to create something worth reading,” said Benjamin Ruskin, 12.
