Have you ever wanted to sit in the audience for a live recording of “Saturday Night Live?” You will still have to go to New York to do that, but something just as entertaining may be SHS’ Improv Show.
“It is a completely different show each night so you never get the same show twice,” said Martha Carroll, improv instructor.
The Improv Show consists of many different games using variables picked right from the audience. The players in improv will not find out what game they are in until right before the show starts.
“I decided to do improv because my brother was in it and I had a lot of fun playing the games that he had taught me,” said Tanner Brarens, 9.
To prepare for the show, rehearsals consist of practicing all of the games that could be used for the show. Along the way, the participants are taught about the different rules of improv as well. But that still does not take away from any of the fun.
“Improv is just one of my favorite parts of the week, because it is always funny and different,” said Emily Winchell, 12.
The Improv Show will be on Nov. 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are five dollars at the door.
