After school looks very different for everyone. Some participate in sports, others in clubs. Today, The Leaf interviewed four SHS students—Asouza Dozier, 9, Christiana Durham, 10, Danielle Reizman, 11, and Joe Mpoyi, 12— about what their typical day after school looks like.
Q: What does your after school life general look like?
Douzier: “I go to football and then I go to my house, take a shower, and eat food”
Durham: “I usually go home take a bath and go out with my friends”
Reizman: “I normally go to theater rehearsals, and then I hang out with my friends”
Mpoyi: “Cross country practice”
Q: Do you participate in sports after school? If so, what sports do you participate in, and until what time?
Douzier: “Football wrestling and lacrosse, but right now, I have football from 2:45 to 5”
Durham: “I don’t do a sport right now, but in the winter, I do cheer and [in] the spring, I do softball”
Reizman: “I don’t do any”
Mpoyi: “I do cross country right now, and in the winter and spring, I do track. Cross country starts at 2:30 and ends at 5”
Q: What time do you usually get home?
Douzier: “Around six or seven”
Durham: “Like 3:40”
Reizman: “Right now around 5, but later on in the year 6:30”
Mpoyi: “5:30”
Q: Do you take part in any afterschool clubs?
Douzier: “No”
Durham: “No”
Reizman: “Yes I am in theater”
Mpoyi: “No I am not ”
Q: Do you hang out with friends after school?
Douzier: “I hang out with my brother”
Durham: “Pretty much every day”
Reizman: “Yes I do”
Q: When do you do homework after school?
Douzier: “I don’t ”
Durham: “I don’t”
Reizman: ”9-11”
Mpoyi: “I don’t”
Q: What time do you eat dinner?
Douzier: “Seven or eight”
Durham: “Like 9”
Reizman: “I usually take a break and eat dinner at 7”
Mpoyi: “6-7”
Q: What time do you usually go to bed?
Douzier: “11-12”
Durham: “10-11”
Reizman: “12:30”
Mpoyi: “12”
