After a nine and five season in 2013 the boys’ basketball team has been preparing for the 2014 basketball season. They have gone through conditioning during the fall season and have started practice as soon as the fall season ended.

“I’m prepared for the season and can’t wait to get on the court for the season,” said Ben Schehr, 10.

At the end of the 2013 season SHS was tied for first with Fairfield, Lakota West, and Middletown. The Varsity team is looking to better that record and possibly be in first place all by themselves.

“We have been conditioning and preparing very hard for the start of the season,” said Brain Jenkins, 11.

The team is also looking to have another Coach of the Year.  At the end of the 2012- 2013 season Coach David Moss was named Coach of the Year. The team also had one of the top blockers in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC).

Over the years the boys have raked up many impressive wins of the year, mixed in with some losses as well.

  • Overall record for 2012-2013: Nine and five
  • A loss vs. Milford. 55 to 50
  • A win vs. Wyoming: 48 to 40
  • A win vs. Mason: 47 to 41
  • A loss vs. Fairfield: 77 to 72
  • A postseason win vs. Loveland: 55 to 37

As the basketball season begins the first game for the basketball team is on Nov. 30 against Milford at Milford.
