Students take on Perfect North

February 21, 2019

On Feb. 14, Valentine’s day, SHS special education students and volunteers took a field trip to Perfect North, which is located in Southeastern Indiana.

Special education students were matched up with teachers and student volunteers and spent the afternoon tubing. Everyone then enjoyed having lunch together at Perfect North before heading back to school.

Some students were afraid to tube, but many faced their fears and went down the slopes with their friends.

“I had such a great time, I worked with Abby and the last time we went tubing she would not go down the slopes. This year we got her down and her face was so happy. I’m glad I could enjoy it with her,” said Lindsey Stevens, 11, who volunteered at the event.

If you are interested in volunteering for other events with special needs students, such as field day in May, contact Mrs. Paula Anstaett at anstaettp@sycamoreschools.org for more information.
