Scooby Snacks

You’re gonna have yourself a Scooby Snack
Scooby+Snacks

If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three things, I would bring my dad, my phone, and BettyCrocker™ Fruit Flavored Snacks Scooby Doo.

I love these Scooby snacks; they are a top 10 invention of all time, for sure. One could say I am addicted to them, but I would just say I am passionate about them.

What is there not to love about these Scooby Snacks? They are just so delicious. Every bite I eat leaves me craving for more. The fruitiness truly fulfills my sweet tooth. All four flavors (strawberry, grape, orange, and cherry) are amazing.

But most of all, I love how it involves one of my favorite childhood tv shows, Scooby Doo.

Each snack is shaped like one of the characters’ heads. You can get Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Fred, Daphne, and even the Mystery Van.

One might argue that these snacks are not a healthy diet and to that I would say “So what? They are scrumdiddlyumptious.” However, they do contain some nutritional value. One pouch has 20% of a sufficient Vitamin C daily value. So, if you eat five packs a day you would be getting the desired amount of Vitamin C daily. Scooby Snacks are also gluten free, vegan, and do not contain any declaration obligatory allergens, meaning that they are suitable for any diet.

On the official Betty Crocker website, these treats are rated on average 4.5 stars out of 5 across 569 reviews. On Amazon they are rated, on average, 4.6 stars across 582 reviews. People know. I am sure the only reason the reviews are not perfect is because some people choose to hate on success.

Every week, I go out and buy 3 boxes of Scooby Snacks from Kroger. If you want to cop some, they are in aisle 30 on the left hand side, coming from the front of the store at Harper’s Point Kroger (the best Kroger for real).

A box of 22 costs $6.49. This price is absolutely worth it for the amazing experience of eating these delicious treats.

I like to keep a box in my backpack at all times and hand them out to all of my friends.    Another Scooby Snack fan at Sycamore is Senior Daniel Chae. I often give Chae a pack of Scooby Snacks at lunch, because he thoroughly enjoys the different characters that come in each pack. When asked which character was his favorite, Chae said “The van is good, [and] also it’s kinda basic, but Scooby is up there.”

Ultimately this article might be leaving you with the question “Why does this matter?” My answer to that would be: try them and see, your life will change for the better. Thank you and goodnight.

Hello, I’m Alex and I’m a Senior at Sycamore High School. I am excited for this to be my first year of journalism. I decided to join because I wanted to broaden my horizons and try something new. I felt it would be fun to write for the Leaf because there are a lot of interesting and relevant topics to write about. Another reason I joined is because my friend suggested I should. Outside of school, I have been building a positive community at my job at Kroger for over a year. I also love to watch sports including baseball, basketball, and football. My love for sports also shows as you can often find me playing pickleball, basketball, or football with my friends. Overall I am looking forward to spending my senior year on the Leaf staff. I’m hoping to help contribute to a great body of work and build great connections along the way.
