Hello, I’m Alex and I’m a Senior at Sycamore High School. I am excited for this to be my first year of journalism. I decided to join because I wanted to broaden my horizons and try something new. I felt it would be fun to write for the Leaf because there are a lot of interesting and relevant topics to write about. Another reason I joined is because my friend suggested I should.
Outside of school, I have been building a positive community at my job at Kroger for over a year. I also love to watch sports including baseball, basketball, and football. My love for sports also shows as you can often find me playing pickleball, basketball, or football with my friends.
Overall I am looking forward to spending my senior year on the Leaf staff. I’m hoping to help contribute to a great body of work and build great connections along the way.
