Government and Politics:
- On Monday, President Donald Trump issued an executive order that would freeze all federal funding indefinitely starting Tuesday at 5 pm. on behalf of the acting head of the White House Office of Management and Budget.
- After the order went into effect, a federal judge blocked the order on Tuesday.
- On Wednesday, the order was rescinded.
- On Tuesday, Sean Duffy was confirmed as Transportation Secretary.
- On Wednesday, President Trump signed the Laken Riley Act, which requires federal authorities to detain immigrants who are in the US illegally and are accused of crimes, including misdemeanor offenses, with the potential for deportation before they are convicted.
- On Saturday, an American hostage, Keith Siegel, was released by Hamas as part of the new ceasefire deal.
- On Saturday, Trump also signed an executive order that imposes 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 10% tariff on China, set to go into effect Tuesday.
- On Saturday, the US government confirmed they directed the airstrikes on ISIS in Somalia.

- Experts say an oil portrait of a red-cheeked fisherman purchased at a Minnesota garage sale for under $50 is actually a long-lost Van Gogh worth $15 million.
Sports:
- On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers confirmed Anthony Davis would be leaving their team and joining the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic would be leaving the Dallas Mavericks and joining the Los Angeles Lakers.
Local News:
- Cincinnati native Elizabeth Keys was one of the presumed 67 victims of a deadly crash Wednesday night between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines jetliner outside Washington D.C. Among the 60 passengers was a group of elite young figure skaters.
Other News:
- On Saturday, another deadly crash occurred; a medevac jet crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood, killing all six people inside as well as one person in a car on the ground.
