Kiran Makkad, staff writer
Hello! My name is Kiran Makkad, and I am a freshman who is just starting out as a staff writer for The Leaf. Being the avid reader that I am, I have always wondered how authors craft the perfect story to captivate their readers. As a part of the Leaf staff, I hope to explore this interest of mine as well as try new things, such as creating infographics and conducting interviews.
As I mentioned before, I love to read. Some of my favorite books are Rebel Seoul by Axie Oh, Legend by Marie Lu, and Perfect Cover by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Aside from reading, I also love to dance and sing.
I have 2 older sisters - one who is a junior in high school and one who just graduated college. I spend most of my free time with them, especially my sister in high school. We do just about everything together.
