On Wednesday, February 11, SHS juniors arrived at the commons during Aviator Bell to set up their MyACT account in preparation for the ACT. Students had to not only create their account, but also fill out a short series of questions ranging from basic personal information to score notification preferences to students’ current post-high school plans.
In order to create their accounts, SHS juniors has to first get personalized codes from tables near the front of the commons. “The lines to get our student codes were pretty long,” said Brianna Luo, 11.
The original pre-registration date was set for Tuesday, February 10, but was pushed back a day to allow students to participate in fundraising activities for Fashion for the Cure, a SHS club that raises money to support pediatric cancer patients.
Although some students had internet difficulties, the ACT pre-registration activity went smoothly for most students. All SHS juniors are set to take a free, school-issued ACT exam on Tuesday, February 24.
