Tuesday Talks have become a staple in the SHS Synnovation Lab (Synn Lab). Every week, the students in the lab get together for 30 minutes to listen to one of their peers talk about a passion or research project of theirs that could interest others. Aiden Kaehler, 10, said this little tradition gives him “a larger view of everyone’s lives and how everyone is unique.” Kaehler’s favorite presentation from his time in the Synn Lab was about all things related to blacksmiths, highlighting the different topics that can be shared during a Tuesday Talk.
Beyond this fun weekly event, the Synn Lab has many benefits to the SHS students that participate. For Kaehler specifically, he enjoys forming better connections with teachers because there is more one-on-one time to hone in on each student and their needs. Furthermore, the leniency of pacing is a huge help to students that use extra time or work faster than others.
