Softball swings into action at the University of Dayton camp

Players can gain a lot from going to college clinics. The off-season is the perfect time to go to these clinics. The University of Dayton has a number of clinics in the fall. One set of their camps is called the Fall Skills Camp.
“My coach told us something we could do to stay sharp is camps in the fall season. The fall is a great time for players to perfect personal skills they need to work on,” sophomore Liz Izworski said.
The first date is Sat. Nov. 15. There are four sessions on that day:
- Pitching Fundamentals at a high level (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
- Offense (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
- Advanced Catching (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
- Advanced defense drill work (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
On Sun. Nov. 16 there are two sessions:
- Offense (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
- Offense (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.)
On Sat. Nov. 22 there are two sessions:
- Offensive (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
- Advanced Pitching (11 a.m. to noon)
When going to the camp it is important to bring:

Practice clothes

Water bottle

Recommended to bring a catcher for pitching sessions
The athletes will be working with the head coach Cara LaPlaca, assistant coach Sarah Willis and Tiffany Prager.
