School spirit has been flooding the halls of SHS. Principal Mader has been trying to bring school spirit back through class colors and more exciting pep rallies.

“I think the decades theme is a really great idea and easy to dress up for,” junior Abigail McGowan said.

The Homecoming parade will be on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. The route will travel from Remington Rd. down to Zig Zag Rd. It will finish by traveling down Cooper Rd. to the SJH parking lot.

The Homecoming pep rally at school will be from 1:35 to 2:20 p.m. The pep rally is a way to get pumped for the Homecoming football game on Oct. 10. It is also a way to stay spirited for the other school sports as well.

“The Lady Aves soccer team went all out for the neon/80’s day because it corresponded with their senior night,” McGowan said.

This year’s Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, Oct. 11 from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale during lunch Wednesday through Friday for $15.

“I love how everyone is getting into spirit week because it shows our united school spirit,” sophomore Lily Retford said.

Homecoming week is a great way to raise school spirit and have fun by interacting with each other.
