Fall pep rally sparks school spirit

The pep rally began with the cheerleaders leading the school in three different cheers.

Seniors Ryan Gantzer and Alexandra Schille led the school in the ‘banana’ cheer. Gantzer wore a banana suit in full spirit of the cheer.

Following the recognition of fall teams was a presentation from Dr. Steven Hopping from the alumni association. Hopping is well recognized in the medical community.

Freshmen homecoming prince and princess Michael Underwood and Sivan Yarchi walk with their fellow court members.

Teacher homecoming court went to gym teachers Mr. Derek Christerson and Ms. Kristin Gilbert. They were crowned at the pep rally.

A new senior fundraiser, Kiss the Pig, raised money for the senior class by having money donated to the teachers jug who students most wanted to see kiss the pig. Vice-principal Mrs. Karen Baer and resource officer Officer Paul Payne received the honor.

A teacher-student dodge ball game took place in order to get the crowds excited again. Mr. Michael Vega participates.

Senior Kathryn Tenbarge performs with the other flyrettes. They performed to a Britney Spears mix.

Junior Jack Good plays the fight song with his fellow drum line members.

Junior Tyler Miller pulls on the four way rope in hopes of winning against the other grades. Junior Jovon Cobbs runs to help.

Seniors, winners of the spirit contest, cheer for their fellow students. The spirit winner was decided by dressing up throughout spirit week, spirit chains, and cheering at the pep rally.

Football coach, Mr. Scott Dattilo gives a pump up speech to the football players and the school. This was the wrap up for the pep rally.
