With tryouts for the swimming team beginning Nov. 1 through Nov. 2, the athletes are getting ready for the season both mentally and physically.
“I’m really excited for the season to start, I think the meets will be really fun and it’s a good way to meet upperclassmen” said Isabelle Jimenez, 9.
Whether it is doing a fall sport or swimming with a local club team, the swimmers are doing everything they can to have a successful season.
“I play water polo in the fall so when that is finished I just switch over to the high school swim team” said Jory Gould, 10.
The swimmers who swim with a club team usually start practicing before the high school. Swim teams in the local area include:
- Cincinnati Marlins
- Blue Ash YMCA
- Cincinnati Aquatic Club
- Mercy Health Swim Club
- Country Side YMCA
- Milford Area Swim Team
“I swim with my club team before the high school practices start because it gets me into shape so that when I start practicing with the high school I am ready to go” said Mackenzie McMullen, 10.
As practices are starting in less than a week, the swimmers must be prepared to work so they can achieve their goals for the upcoming season.
