As the calendar turns to 2015, the year starts with individuals making change in their lives, it is a time to start fresh, start over.

SHS’ winter teams, in the middle of their seasons look for resolutions as they head toward the finish line. One of those teams with resolutions is the dance team.

“Since we still have a lot of games left, I am looking for us to perform to the best of our ability and finish strong like we started this season,”  Flyerettes coach, Brittany Grecco said. This is Grecco’s first year as the coach.

She sees the importance of ending the season—with the last game on Feb. 20—on a high note to bring into the next year for tryouts and summer conditioning as well as finishing for the seniors.

“To finish the season strong and reach our goals we need to work hard and give practices and performances our all,” junior Calista Robbins said.

The dancers looked for resolutions as a team and individually.

“I would like to be able to have my center split, I will achieve this by lots of stretching,” senior Emily Spry said.

The team sees the importance of having these goals to have something to work for at the end of the season.

“As I end my three years on the team I would like to end the season as a collective unit, I have had such a great time being a Flyerette,” Spry said.
