The season has come to a close for most of the members of the diving team, however, three individuals made the cut for the state meet.

Thomas Capouch, Patty Blood, and I are all still in it because we advanced from sectionals and then to districts,” junior Cameron Foy said.

After districts is state and the team did not make the cut at districts, so the season did come to an end. Overall, Foy is pleased with his season.

At the GMC’s Foy got second, Capouch got fifth and Blood received third.

In addition, Jenna Reis dove but only in one meet.

“The best part about the season is that because the team is so small we get really close,” Foy said.

They finished as a team second in the GMC’s.

“Diving is connected to swimming but no one really knows how the swim team does or how the dive team does. It’s swim and dive team even though we don’t practice together,” Foy said.

After finishing second place in the GMC twice, Foy is excited to see how the playing field will change and hopes to have the opportunity to finish first in the conference next year.
