“Now that the basketball season is over there is a lot less stress on us a team but we also have to prepare for next year which is also stressful within itself,” said Young. The girls will be holding multiple fundraisers in the next couple months to raise money for costumes for next season. It will include a car wash and a bake sale. The Flyerettes dance team is preparing for the spring pep rally. At the pep rally they will be performing a routine.

“Right now we want to do a competition style routine because those are fun and challenging,” sophomore Hannah Young said.

The team will meet on Thurs. from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to make their final decision about the routine. After that they will start working on the dance.

Once the pep rally is over the team will be starting to plan for next season. They will be losing three team members due to seniors graduating.

“Planning for next season is very stressful because we are hoping to replace the three seniors and gain some other members,” junior Calista Robbins said.

The tryouts will take place in late April or early May. No prior dance experience is needed to be on the team.
