Rudolf Steiner

Luke Tenbarge, Staff Writer

Rudolph Steiner was an Austrian philosopher, social reformer, and architect. Steiner attempted to find a synthesis between science and spirituality. He developed and defended Goethean science. His earliest works revolved around spiritual science and he published essays on reincarnation and karma, as well as other supernatural practices. He founded a spiritual movement called anthroposophy with roots in German idealist philosophy and theosophy. Steiner’s work is most noticeable today in Biodynamic Agriculture. Biodynamic Agriculture uses an ecological and sustainable approach to farming.
