Senior Lydia Sloan has pitched for the softball team in their last two games. The first game was against Middletown on May 4. Senior Night and throwback night were also on this night.
The players wore old jerseys and chose old walk up songs. It was an emotional game because it was the seniors’ last home game. The stands were packed with family members and friends to celebrate this important night in their softball careers.
Against Middletown they won the game 10 – 4. It was an important victory because the team had lost to them in the beginning of the season, which had been a huge blow to them.
The next day they played Bethel – Tate and won 2 -1. Even though they won the team did make mental errors that need to be improved upon, such as missing signs and not sliding.
The team’s next game is on May 8, they will play at Fairfield. After the Fairfield game they only have one more game before tournament play. For more information about the softball season visit GMC sports.
