Raising Cane’s debut a success

The famous chicken finger franchise, Raising Cane’s, made its way to Cincinnati on Thursday Apr 30. Cane’s is now located on Tylersville Road in West Chester and is the first in Cincinnati. The restaurant has several locations throughout Ohio, Louisiana, Illinois, and other states.
“I’ve heard of Cane’s before because I have dance competitions in Columbus,” said sophomore Hannah Loftspring. “We always pass it, but never stop and in there.”
Cane’s was founded by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey in August of 1996. Its headquarters are located in Baton Rouge, Graves’ hometown. The name came to be because of Graves’ yellow lab he had growing up named “Raising Cane”.
“I started going to Cane’s when I visited Columbus because my camp friends kept telling me about it,” said junior Sam Myers. “I’m so glad it came to Cincinnati because now I won’t have to wait until I go back to visit Columbus.”
Their menu is quite simple, having four different combos that consist of chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, Cane’s Sauce (a secret recipe sauce that’s tangy, spicy, and flavorful), coleslaw, and a drink. The combos don the names: The 3 Finger Combo, The Box Combo, The Caniac Combo, and The Sandwhich Combo.
“My favorite part of Raising Cane’s is how the Cane’s Sauce goes so well with everything else in the combos,” said sophomore Kyle Huchinson.
Sycamore students were lucky enough to grab a bite from the new location since it’s opened. However, it hasn’t been there first time eating these delicious chicken tenders as an opportunity has presented itself to them at other close by locations.
