Spanish Club is planning on providing traditional Spanish snacks, such as salsa, guacamole, queso, and tacos. Mexican culture relies heavily on these dishes. Most of the snacks in Spanish club will be familiar, however, be prepared to try something new.

Students are thrilled for the return of a favorite activity.

Among SHS’ plethora of clubs, Spanish Club is one of those that has people lining up outside the door, waiting to get in and have some fun.

Although the date of the first meeting has yet to be announced, students this year are really looking forward to Spanish Club coming back around for the 2015-16 school year.

Sophomore Josey Leach said, “No one in Spanish Club ever felt left out. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and I’m excited to join again this year.”

Any student is welcome to join Spanish Club–even if they are not currently taking Spanish as a language! The club mainly focuses on Spanish culture, so speaking the language is not a requirement.

Freshman Ashley Hopkins said “Spanish Club seems absolutely amazing! I honestly can’t wait to join and meet new people who share the same interest in learning and knowing about Spanish culture.”

Basically, if eating salsa, having fiestas, and being with your friends sounds like fun, Spanish Club is the perfect club.

Leach said, “I always looked forward to Spanish Club every week because it was a good way to meet new people with the same interests as you,”

Watch out for Spanish Club’s first club meeting, because it is bound to be a blast!
