  • The SHS girls varsity green tennis team line up to find out what position they would play for that match and who they would play. The team ended the season with a 17-2 record, and brought along numerous accolades. These accolades included winning the Sycamore Cup, and getting third at the Coaches Classic.

  • Senior Melissa Goodman shakes her opponent’’s hand prior to their match. Each match, the captains of each team call out the student playing each position on the team before the players begin their match. Goodman played first doubles during the season.

  • Before marching onto the court, the team huddles together in a group, while Coach Holland gave a pep talk. Each match this ritual commenced, as the captains also hyped the team up. This ended with a cheer led by the captains.

  • Sophomore Madison Ringer strikes a backhand cross court during her match. This year, Ringer played third singles after playing first doubles the previous year. Ringer said, “Now that I have had two years of experience playing high school tennis for SHS, I have really grown as a player both on and off the court.”
