Each year, Spanish IV classes work on an investigative project about different regions in Spain. The project includes a presentation and requires each student to prepare an authentic Spanish dish originating from his or her region.

Sophomore Jon Hilsabeck said, “The project is basically a power point presentation, and afterwards we are going to eat the dishes that we make.”

Some of the regions that are being researched are Castilla La Mancha, Valencia, Asturias, Aragon, and Extre Madura.

Hilsabeck said, “The region that I am researching is called Extre Madura. The dish I am going to create is Dulce de Leche.”

Students will present their dishes on Mon, Feb. 29, and projects will be presented on Wed, Mar. 2.

Hilsabeck said, “I am actually looking forward to this project. We had a similar one last year in Spanish III, and it was really fun to eat all the dishes created by students.”
