Grande is becoming a ‘Dangerous Woman’
March 16, 2016
Becoming famous through her role in Broadway musical 13 and as Cat Valentine in Victorious, Ariana Grande has made a name for herself in both the music and acting industries.
After Victorious ended, she went off on a spin off series called Sam and Cat with fellow nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy, which was cancelled after 35 episodes. This was when Grande’s music career kicked off.
In 2014, her second album (My Everything) reached number one on the charts, with popular singles ‘Problem’ with Iggy Azalea and ‘Bang Bang’ with Jessie J and Nicki Manaj.
Sophomore Christina Hanish said, “I remember hearing that song (‘Bang Bang’) on the radio quite often when it came out.”
Since then, she has perused her acting career, with a role on MTV’s new show Scream Queens while touring the world.
Within the past few weeks, Grande has also been promoting her new album Dangerous Woman and even has a website dedicated to it. The album is set to be released on Mar. 20, 2016.
Hanish said, “I think that it is cool how she took the time to create a website for her fans; it shows her dedication to the industry.”
The first single ‘Dangerous Woman’ was released on March 11, a little over a week before the album becomes public. A second single, ‘Be Alright’ will be released on March 18, two days before the album.
Hanish said, “I think that the new song (‘Dangerous Women’) has a different style to it than her other songs, sounding more diverse than her normal pop sound.”
The album cover was released the day before the first single, on Mar. 10, and features Grande in a black bunny mask.
