Kanye West has finally released his album, The Life of Pablo on iTunes. It has instantly sprung to the top on the iTunes Top Charts. Of the top ten most listened to tracks, six of his songs are on there.
Sophomore Everett Kohinke said, “I’m really glad I can finally listen to it now. The song Ultralight beam is beautiful.”
The second track on his album, “Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1”, is number one on iTunes. West had previously stated that he never intended to release his album on iTunes. West had previously released his album on Tidal.
Tidal is a subscription based music service, and something of an underdog too. West’s release of his album helped a lot to boost their numbers.
Sophomore Zach Berger said, “I think the album has lots of great songs like Ultralight Beam, No More Parties in L.A., and Real Friends. However, I think the album could have been cut down to get a more consistent theme and sound from song to song.”
