The dance to end all school years takes place this Saturday night when SHS holds their annual prom at the Sharonville Convention Center. The dance will start at 8:30 and let in a few hundred juniors and seniors as on the final school functions commence.
Junior Josh Glauser said, “I am really looking forward to Prom this year. I always hear fun stories about it from upperclassmen from my freshman year.”
The tickets for night were on sale the past two and a half weeks with the dance, whose theme is “A Night to Remember”, costing $35 per person and After Prom costing $20 per person. After Prom will begin immediately following the dance and end at 4:30 a.m.
The After Prom committee’s head chair member Mrs. Fran Bitzer, “I hope that students have a fantastic night with their classmates and enjoy all the activities After Prom has to offer.”
The theme for After Prom this year is Vegas Night. In addition to casino and card games, there will be a handful of inflatables, carnival games, food from popular vendors, and even a hypnotist show, all taking place at SHS.
In preparation for After Prom, Bitzer said, “A lot of schools have their After Prom on the same night as SHS, so we act quickly in order to get the best activities.
By 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, the high school will be cleared of kids and the cleanup process will begin, but this is just the start up of anticipation for homecoming next year.
