The Flyover 9/6: Bonner visits Illinois, Feld offered by CCU, and more

The Flyover is your weekly recap for all things Sycamore recruiting. Join us every week for a look at the recruiting updates in all sports at SHS.

Welcome to the first edition of The Flyover at SHSLeaf.org. I am very excited to have the opportunity to share with you all of the recruiting updates that happened around SHS this and every week, in all sports.

Bonner visits Illinois

Just about a month ago, on August 6, 2017 running back Ra’Von Bonner received an offer from Illinois. It was his first (and only, to date) Big Ten offer, so there is no doubt Bonner is excited for it. This weekend, he visited Illinois as they took on Murray State in their season opener.

In an interview with Jeremy Werner on Scout.com ($), Bonner touched on the reasons he is considering the Illini. One major person he mentioned was former SHS receiver Steve Hull, who signed with Illinois in 2013. Former SHS running back Bud Golden also picked the Illini that same year, but transferred to Tennessee Tech just a year after his arrival in Champaign.

Bonner is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the #93 running back in the 2017 class, and the #57 player in Ohio. To watch his highlights, click here.

Feld offered by Cincinnati Christian:

One player pegged to have a breakout year was 2017 offensive lineman Josh Feld. Colleges have taken notice of the 6’5 315 lb senior, as he now has three offers as Cincinnati Christian joins Butler and Valparaiso in Feld’s “offer party.”

Feld also had a very nice double pancake block (pushing two defenders to the ground with one block) against LaSalle, which you can view on his Twitter page.

Borman, Kramer named Skyline athletes of the week

Blue Ash Skyline/Sycamore Athletics have announced the first recipients of the “Skyline Chili Athletes of the Week” award, given two a couple athletes every week here at SHS. Girls golf star Sophie Kramer received one award, while varsity football quarterback Jake Borman received the other after throwing for over 300 yards in SHS’ overtime loss to LaSalle.

Make sure you tune in next week for the newest edition of The Flyover here on SHSLeaf.Org.
