Bonner officially visits Illinois

After committing to Illinois back on Sept. 27, SHS running back Ra’Von Bonner has remained steadfast in his pledge to the Illini. Last weekend, he took his official visit to Champaign to visit his future school and announced he would wear the #21, as he did here at SHS.

Bonner is one of two ’17 running backs committed to Illinois, along with St. Thomas Aquinas HS (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) stud Mike Epstein.

Young commits to Air Force

After being offered by Valparaiso and Tiffin last week, SHS senior linebacker Grant Young received his first FBS offer last week from the Air Force Falcons of the Mountain West Conference. Yesterday, he decided to end his recruitment and officially commit to Air Force.

Young was named honorable mention All-District and first team All-GMC this year. SHS currently has one former Aviator at the Air Force Academy playing football, ’14 offensive lineman Jake Barnhorst.
