FAST. Junior Sarah Abraham sprints the final freestyle leg of her 200 individual medley. An individual medley is composed of two laps of each stroke: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Abraham will swim the medley and the 100 breaststroke at her championship meets.

STOP. Senior Amy Deng pauses to look at her time after her race. Deng’s best event is the 100 backstroke, which she will swim at sectionals and districts. Sectionals will take place at Mason High School and districts will take place at Miami University.

SUPPORT. At the side of the pool, senior Jiho Choi cheers on his teammates as they swim. Choi is one of the team’s 13 seniors. Choi is a 100 backstroke swimmer but he will also play a part on the team’s relays.

JUST KEEP SWIMMING. Jose Maldonado swims the 200 freestyle on senior night. The 2016-2017 season is Maldonado’s first season on the team. Maldonado is one of seven first-year varsity team swimmers.

QUICK. Sophomore Ania Campbell streamlines at the beginning of her backstroke. Campbell is a key member of the team’s relays as a butterfly swimmer, but her individual events for the season will be the 50 and 100 freestyle.
