The SHS girls and boys swim teams traveled to Canton, Ohio to compete in the Ohio High School Swimming State Championship tournament on Thursday, Feb. 23.
The preliminary session of the meet was held on Friday, Feb. 24 and the final session was held the following day.
“It was a lot of fun to get to travel with the team. We took a school bus up to Canton and that was a lot of fun. We were definitely a close knit team this year,” said  Isabelle Jimenez 12.
Results of the SHS swims at finals are as follows:

  • 12th: boys 200 freestyle relay (sophomore, Elliot Carl; senior, Matthew Schuetz; junior, Alex Newberg; sophomore, Sammy Risma)
  • 12th: boys 400 freestyle relay (Carl, Schuetz, sophomore Noah Patterson, Risma)
