Hillary Clinton is an American politician who was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 during the Barack Obama administration, U.S. Senator of New York from 2001 to 2009, First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, a Democratic candidate in the 2008 presidential race, and the nominee of the Democratic party for President of the United States in the 2016 election. She was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, IL. She attended Wellesley College and Yale University. Yale is where she met her husband and former President of the United States Bill Clinton. During her time in these positions, specifically as First Lady, Clinton worked tirelessly on health care reform, adoption reform, and global gender equality. She actively works toward creating a better, more equal world.
