The boys Varsity Gold tennis team was busy with a handful of matches. They played on Tues., Apr. 4, Thurs., Apr. 6, and Sat., Apr. 8.

The team played Middletown, Hamilton, and Toledo St. Johns. They swept Middletown and Hamilton.

“Winning these matches early on in the season definitely gives us confidence for the big matches that we’re going to play later on in the season,” said Captain Noah Stern, 12.

April 10 through 15, the boys are playing against a familiar foe in Mason and then traveling to Louisville, Kentucky to take on Louisville St. Xavier and Louisville Trinity High School.

“Our biggest opponent this year will probably be Mason. They have a very solid team that is very deep, and we are all going to have to play our best to beat them,” Stern said.

The team is looking forward to traveling down to Louisville because they will be able to spend the night there in a hotel.

“Some of the best memories that I have from the tennis team aren’t usually from what happens on the court but what happens on road trips and hotels, and it is all a lot of fun to be with my teammates,” Stern said.
