Girls lacrosse’ travels to state

  • READY. Before each game, the Lady Aves run drills to warm up. The drills are done to get into the atmosphere of the match and ready their skills. They also help the team stretch dynamically and get their muscles warmed up before the game.

    '
  • DOMINATING. Like many of their games, the Lady Aves takes an early lead against Mariemont. The game stayed close throughout, coming to a final score of 13-11 with SHS on top. Throughout the year, the Lady Aves have shown again and again their ability to keep playing hard hroughout the game.

    '
  • SHOOT. Lluna Katz, 11, takes a shot on Mason. Katz is one of the top scorers on Sycamore and hit 100 career goals earlier this season. She is looking to help lead the team to a state championship game before she graduates.

    '
  • VICTORY. Strong teamwork and passing allows the Lady Aves to defeat the Mason Comets 12-3 at Mason. They stayed strong throughout the season, with their only loss being to New Albany, who defeated them in the regional finals last year. The team seeks to defeat them this year and advance closer to the state final.

    '
  • OFFENSE. Emily Wise, 12, is a valuable player this season. She helped to lead the team with her experience and skill and was a strong offensive player. Like the rest of the graduating class, her spot will be hard to fill for next year, but with a strong group of juniors and sophomores, there will be no shortage of players to do so.
