That evening both boys, and girls water polo teams played against Mason. “ It’s always fun to go against Mason because we get loud and exited to cheer and play against one of our rivals,” said Jason Merkel, 11. PRACTICE. Sophomore Matthew Neal has shown dedication in the JV squad. The boys team has practice Monday-Friday and is required to attend every one. “Matthew has gotten a lot better this year. You can tell that he has used this season to understand the game more and work on his skills,” said Brycen Gwyn, 12.

DEDICATION. Junior, Aryan Godha demonstrates proper passing position. During a typical practice, the team will send a good 10-20 minutes on simple passing. This improves the muscle memory of catching and throwing the ball to help the motion be fluid in a game situation.

FUNNY. Weis sticks tounge out in moment of extreme focus in hopes of blocking the ball. “The team has gotten a chance to really bond over this season. They work together during games and out of the pool. Leaders have risen from the group and have had a chance to really help the others grow and learn,” said Gwyn.
