  • GO! On September 12, the boys JV water polo team had a dual match against Mason. That evening both boys, and girls water polo teams played against Mason. “ It’s always fun to go against Mason because we get loud and exited to cheer and play against one of our rivals,” said Jason Merkel, 11. • PRACTICE. Sophomore Matthew Neal has shown dedication in the JV squad. The boys team has practice Monday-Friday and is required to attend every one. “Matthew has gotten a lot better this year. You can tell that he has used this season to understand the game more and work on his skills,” said Brycen Gwyn, 12.

  • DEDICATION. Junior, Aryan Godha demonstrates proper passing position. During a typical practice, the team will send a good 10-20 minutes on simple passing. This improves the muscle memory of catching and throwing the ball to help the motion be fluid in a game situation.

  • FUNNY. Weis sticks tounge out in moment of extreme focus in hopes of blocking the ball. “The team has gotten a chance to really bond over this season. They work together during games and out of the pool. Leaders have risen from the group and have had a chance to really help the others grow and learn,” said Gwyn.
