Summit holds Halloween hangout with last movie
Come out on Fri. Oct. 20 to Blue Ash’s Summit Park for early Halloween festivities!
Summit Park is having its final Movie in the Park with a Halloween themed night.
The movie playing will be Disney’s “Hocus Pocus,” a PG rated Halloween film that can be enjoyed by all.
“I went to a movie last year to see what all the hype was about. There were a lot of kids running around but it was nice,” said Samruddhi Ubhe, 11.
Movies are played on the Great Lawn where many spread out blankets and sit for a comfy view of the presentation. The movie begins, like usual, at dusk and is about an hour and a half long.
“My brother actually went to Summit yesterday. There’s a lot of great options and there’s still more to come,” Ubhe said.
However, other Halloween activities will be open to the public beginning at 6 p.m. These festivities include music on the lawn, snacks, and crafts in the community room. Activities are hosted by Nancy Belles, an ice cream and frozen yogurt place at Summit.
Who says there is an age limit for costumes? You can wear an awesome costume and automatically be a join the costume competition and can win a prize.
The park will also have a magician showing tricks around the park, so look out for him. Because the event is before Halloween, you can go to this event and all others you planned.
Many students have plans in place for Halloween.
“I have a Halloween costume party to go to and am very excited to go, I have to think up a costume soon,” said Jenny Lu, 11.
