  • FUN AND GAMES. Flight Night brought a variety of activities to entertain SHS. Seniors PJ Crew, Kyle Fehr, and friends play video games set up in the Commons for a break from the action in the gym. “There were so many activities, which was great for people who do not like sports as much but still want to participate in the spirit,” said Meghan DiGiovanna, 12. • BLOCK IT LIKE IT’S HOT. The basketball team competed against Milford as the main event of the night. The teams brought their all, so it kept fans on their feet. “The game was super exciting and kept the audience on their toes,” said Shannon Glass, 12.

  • KEEP YOUR HANDS UP. Supporters from every part of SHS came together to celebrate both the ‘Lil’ Aves’ players and high school players. While the student section was packed with a cheering crowd, both the cheerleaders and Flyerettes made appearances to bring up the energy. “The crowd’s energy was a great reminder of what the Ave Cave is all about,” DiGiovanna said.

  • DO GOOD. Overall, proceeds from the fun-filled night fueled an organization that quite literally gets ‘Kids 2 Camp’. A grand total of $1000 was awarded to them by Principal Doug Mader and Superintendent Frank Foersthofel. “It was that much better because our fun contributed to a great cause,” Glass said.

  • ONE LAST RIDE. Senior players were recognized and applauded. Tate Goodyear even saw the audience chant, “Yale Tate! Yale Tate!” in his honor. “Everyone knows that Tate has committed to play football for Yale University, so everyone wanted to celebrate the great places our friends are going,” DiGiovanna said.
