KEEP PLAYING. There is a constant debate over what is the best streaming service. Netflix is popular, but Hulu and Amazon Prime are experiencing success as well. Naturally, new and different releases are bound to increase Netflix’s popularity.

Summer did bring some highly anticipated Netflix shows, but new shows will be arriving throughout the rest of 2018. Although Netflix has confirmed they will be coming out in 2018, these shows do not yet have concrete release dates.

Dogs of Berlin
“Dogs of Berlin” is a German crime show. The first season has yet to have been released. It will be Netflix’s second German series.

“A politically sensitive murder forces two disparate detectives into a battle with the Berlin underworld and a confrontation with their own corporation,” Netflix said.

Maniac
Featuring stars Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, “Maniac” is adapted from a Norwegian series. It is a black comedy (also known as dark comedy).

The Norwegian show featured two storylines: one showing a patient in a mental asylum, the other showing the patient’s internal thoughts and fantasies. Netflix has yet to release any specifics on the American series though.

Osmosis
Continuing with the theme of European-inspired series, “Osmosis” is based off a French show. The show takes place in the future in Paris. The first season is being released, and it is about dating software.

“In Paris of the near future, a dating app matches singles with their soul mates by mining their brain data. But decoding true love comes at a price,” Netflix said.

Samantha!
“Samantha!” is a comedic series inspired by one from Brazil, the first of its kind to arrive at Netflix. It is about Samantha, a former child star who wishes to be back in the celebrity spotlight.

Parallels have been drawn between “Samantha!” and “Bojack Horseman,” so fans of the latter may wish to give “Samantha!” a try.
