  • THE ONE HE WANTS. Danny (sophomore Jake Jervis) confesses his love to Sandy (junior Ally Linser) in a rehearsal for Aves Theatre’s production of the musical “Grease.” The show is being put on by the bell six Acting Ensemble class taught by Mr. John Whapham. “The students seem to be picking up the music and the choreography, and having a good time,” Whapham said.

  • GREASERS. Jervis, sophomore Adam Kling, senior Nick McDonough, and junior Casey Johnson pose in their costumes for the show. Since the show is set in the 1950’s, all of the set pieces, costumes, and even the dance numbers reflect the time period. “The choreography… is much harder than anything I have ever done,” Jervis said.

  • TELL ME MORE. McDonough, Kling, Johnson, and Jervis in another scene during rehearsal. The cast has been working on the show both in and out of class non-stop since the first week of school. “It’s a very fun environment, and it’s all positive energy,” Jervis said.

  • BEHIND THE SCENES. The actors aren’t the only ones involved with “Grease,” or the only ones who get to have fun. Freshman Nicholas Miller, a member of the run crew for the production, shows off some dance moves. “As a freshman, the experience has been chaotic, but a good experience nonetheless,” Miller said.
