In Cincinnati, we are fortunate to have a lot of options for brunch to choose from. This week we chose to eat at Sugar n’ Spice in Bond Hill.

Sugar n’ Spice is a well-known breakfast tradition in Bond Hill. They are open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.

This is certainly not a great option for you if you are looking for somewhere quick and close, but if you are up for a little bit of a drive and a wait this is a great option.

The atmosphere is bright and filled with a tacky but fun retro look as the restaurant probably has not been renovated since it was opened. Bright colored paint and rubber ducks dressed in fun costumes line the walls. As a little treat when you pay your bill you receive a rubber duck.

“The customer service is great and the food is delicious. I had the ‘Wispy Thins’ which made for an amazing brunch,” said Ally Zimmerman, 11.

I (Henry) started off my meal with a glass of cranberry juice as I browsed the extremely expansive menu for my meal.

I ended up choosing the “Breakfast Platter,” a delicious plate filled to the brim with two eggs, two slices of toast with butter, hash browns, and salmon patties.

The eggs were moist, the toast was crisp, the salmon patties were flavorful, and the hash browns had just enough salt.

“Sugar n’ Spice is a great option for a not so healthy breakfast”, said Sabrina Ramsey, 11.

I would rate this restaurant a solid 9 out of 10.
