The district announced on social media that “due to dangerously low wind chills, Sycamore Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 30, out of concern for the safety of our students and staff.”

Evening events for tomorrow have not been canceled as they will continue to be monitored as the weather progresses.

The Master Facility Concept Testing session which was scheduled for Jan. 30 has been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

If you plan on going outside at all tomorrow, keep in mind that it could feel about 30 below tomorrow with wind chill. Temperatures this low can contribute to frostbite on exposed skin if in the cold for approximately 30 minutes.
