Autism Speaks is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those who are affected by Autism. Their work expands extensively around the world.

Their work goes beyond just raising money. Some of their goals are to increase global understanding, research, early childhood screenings, improving the transition from childhood to adulthood, and to provide information.

But the main purpose of Autism Speaks is to gain support from parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends of people with Autism.

For many years, the Autism Speaks organization has held a walk to raise funds. This year, the walk was held at Coney Island.

The walk was on April 18 and $88,628 were raised total. Each walker raised money, as well as companies donated money towards the event.

Autism Speaks said that their walkers “help generate funds that fuel innovative research and make connections to critical lifelong supporters and services.”

Many can donate to the cause on the Autism Speaks website to help contribute to this amazing cause.
