Where did SHS students travel during summer break?

  • ROCKIN AROUND. Senior Hannah Bruns traveled around Ireland to visit her sister. They started their road trip in Dublin then went to the countryside, and finished off her trip in Wicklow. “Ireland is definitely the most beautiful place I have ever been. There were a lot of cliffs, greenery, and sheep. I must pay a visit back someday,” Bruns said.

  • SPLASHING INTO THE OCEAN. Junior Lauren Gause and her family visited many cities in France. Some of her highlights were going to a World Cup game, relaxing at the beach, and sightseeing. “I loved France because I take French in school and I got to practice it and experience the culture,” Gause said.

  • SURFING INTO FALL. Senior Genesis Manganese and her older sister went to Puerto Rico to celebrate her 18th birthday. “It was so special to celebrate my 18th birthday there. The food was fantastic. The people were so nice. The weather was phenomenal. I just loved it,” said Manganese.

  • CLIMBING INTO THE SCHOOL YEAR. Junior Yazmin Duffield and Freshman Aleyna Duffield traveled to Lima, Peru over the summer. The sisters visited one of the seven wonders: Machu Picchu. “This was an incredible experience. I got to see a whole different culture, practice my Spanish, and eat different types of food,” said Yazmin Duffield.
