Tennis players pay for bad weather

The tennis teams have morning conditioning every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 a.m. in the morning, and so far, at least four conditioning practices have been cancelled due to bad weather. The weather that has prevented the teams from having conditioning includes snow, ice, and extreme cold.
The team has really been affected by the cold, and has only been to the morning work outs once since winter break. While the team will be in shape and ready for the season, they now are not as fit for the spring as they would like to be.
Outside of the snow day cancellations, Coach Michael Teets has also had to cancel one workout session for temperatures as low as -2 degrees Fahrenheit.
Members of the team have been very affected by this:
- “I think it is hard to be completely ready for the season without working out with the team twice a week,” said Rohan D’Souza, 10.
- “We really need better weather so we can continue getting fit for the upcoming season,” said Jacob Hebib, 10.
- “It’s too bad the bad weather always seems to happen on conditioning days. Hopefully it clears up,” said Regis Liou, 9.
