Andrew Jones, 9, discovered his love for performing at a young age. At just eight years old, he earned the role of young Simba in “The Lion King Jr.,” where he realized his passion for being on stage and music.
Theater has also had a positive impact on Jones’ life outside of performing, building his time management and teamwork skills. Jones sees himself pursuing theater even after high school, noting how once he found his love for it, his passion never stopped.
To get further involved with music, Jones joined choir in sixth grade. Singing soon became more than just an activity—it became an important part of Jones’ life. Through choir, Jones has grown more confident and improved his performance skills.
Jones encourages all to explore their passions and get involved with what you love, as it can make all the difference. He said, “Theater has really changed me as a person … it’s not just something I do anymore; it’s who I am.”
